The Old Bull & Bush

A grand old boozer in a Grade II listed building.

History

There have been licensed premises here since 1721, and artists William Hogarth, Thomas Gainsborough and Joshua Reynolds all drank here. It was a notorious day trip destination for cockneys before the First World War, and inspired a popular music hall ditty. The Bull & Bush ghost station lies deep underneath.
